7-Night U.S. Atlantic Coast Cruise

By Bob | December 13th, 2006

Loyal readers to this site know that there is a cruise out there for just about everyone. Some people like to cruise in luxury. Other people prefer to cruise on a budget. Some people like to travel to warn weather locations. Other people prefer sailing to see icebergs. Some people like to cruise as just a couple. Other people like to bring all the relatives along and to cruise as a family. The cruise industry recognizes this and they are willing to come up with cruises that will float just about anyone’s boat.

Included in this mix are Cruise West’s The Spirit of Nantucket’s cruises. Focused primarily on the shallow ports of the East Coast of the United States, the ship follows itineraries that you don’t often see. For example, in Spring 2007 the Nantucket is embarking on a series of week-long trips that hug the coast. Starting in Jacksonville, Florida, the ship will head northwards stopping at parts of Georgia and coming to an end at Charleston, South Carolina. While this journey might not be everyone’s vision of a dream cruise, it does offer an opportunity to explore some of the neater towns in the southeast at a leisurely pace.
