Disney Wonder: 7-Night Cruise and Park Tour

By Bob | December 12th, 2006

Growing up within spitting distance of the Happiest Place on Earth, I have often felt the need to spit out venom against the Disney Empire. The Mouse House has not always been the best of neighbors for those living in Central Florida, but I can understand why people want to visit it, especially for a family vacation. For one thing, there is almost always a deal on Disney vacations and the savvy holiday shopper should be able to take his or her family to see Pluto without blowing too many pennies.

A lot of people choose to spend all of their time at the various theme parks and this is all well in good except that it can get a bit old after awhile for mom and dad. Combining a park visit with a cruise is an excellent way to overcome this and to treat your children to the experience of being on the high seas.

Southwest Airlines has some deals on a 7-day Sea/Land cruise. This one is especially attractive because the first three days are spent on land and the last 4 at sea. Just when you are tired of the rides you can head out on the water for some family style fun and relaxation. And, really, that is what Disney is all about even to us grumps from Orlando who don’t often enjoy having them as neighbors.
