According to the New York Times, as of September 10, Marriott is offering 20% off the lowest available rate at their thousands of hotels. The sale is available at their many different branded hotels, including JW Marriott, Renaissance, Courtyard and Residence Inn. For those looking to score a deal on a cheap hotel room, the sale at Marriott is available for stays of at least two nights on weekends (Thursday-Sunday) at most of their hotels in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America.
The 20% off promotion at Marriott will be good for travel between September 25 and December 13. As reported by the NY Times, the deal would make a night at the JW Marriott hotel in Cancun go from $249/night to $199 night during the same time period.
However, before you go booking your hotel in Cancun (of wherever), make sure you do some shopping around. Often with more than one property in major tourist destinations, you can often score an even better deal with a little prudent shopping.
