Romantic vacations are on sale on Expedia

By Roger Wade | July 21st, 2008

Tower of EiffelUsually leading up to Valentine’s Day you’ll see all kinds of vacations for romantic couples advertised, so it’s nice that Expedia has gone out of their way to spread the love into the summer with this sale: Book your Romantic Travel on Expedia.com!

They’ve got quite a few really outstanding offers at the moment, including some special ones to Paris, New York City, and Venice. Those places can all be kind of pricey, so it’s great that Expedia also has some packages to Cancun, Mazatlan, and Barbados too. I feel that saving money can be a romantic gesture, so I’d be more inclined to book one of the more affordable places.

That hasn’t gone over so well in some of my past relationships, but there is someone for everyone, right? I keep hearing that and I assume it’s true, even if I see no evidence of it. Perhaps my mistake in the past was booking a romantic weekend trip to Las Vegas that involved me playing in a poker tournament the entire time? If my girlfriend hadn’t flown home early she’d have been proud of my 24th-place finish, even though I didn’t win any money. If you see Kaye, tell her I love her, and that I forgive her for leaving me.
