It is time to explore Jackson Hole, Wyoming

By Bob | March 2nd, 2007

jackson-hole.jpgSometimes I wish I could have been born in a different era. I wish that I could have been one of the early explorers in North America. Imagine the thrill it must have been for Lewis and Clark to turn the corner of a river and to come across a piece of scenery or an animal previously unknown to the rest of the world. Imagine the feeling that Davey Edward Jackson must have felt when he first settled in the valley that bares his name, Jackson Hole.

To have first laid eyes on that valley that is formed by the Teton Range on the western side and the Gros Ventre range on the eastern side with Grand Teton National Park occupying the north-western part of the valley must have been something for those initial settlers.

It is still a sight to behold today for visitors to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, one of the most beautiful places in the United States. The good news is that these days you don’t have to live in a shack without indoor plumbing to enjoy the area. Jackson Hole’s many hotels provide much more comfort. Think of a trip there as being a chance to explore without having to suffer the discomforts of being an explorer.
