Free Night at the Hotel Carlton in San Francisco

By Bob | March 8th, 2007

hotel-carlton.jpgA free night is a free night even if it means staying in a dump. The Hotel Carlton is far from a dump.

The 163-room Hotel Carlton is a lovely, historic hotel located in downtown San Francisco. Originally built in 1927 and completely renovated in 2004, the hotel is a relaxing, intimate haven located five blocks from Union Square. Guestrooms feature exotic and enchanting photographs of sights from around the globe, inviting you to virtually tour the world. Take a short two-block walk to the California Street cable car line and hop aboard as it passes through some of San Francisco’s famous neighborhoods.

Not only is this hotel in a great location, but it is also oozing with charm. If you book a four-night stay there before March 25, 2008 (that’s more than a year away, so think about it), you will get the fourth night absolutely free. San Fran is an expensive city so every bit of savings helps.

One travel tip. When you are booking a flight to San Francisco consider flying into Oakland instead. You might get a cheaper flight and taking the BART (local train) into the city is often much, much easier than taking transportation in from the San Francisco airport.
