Fourth Night Free in Loreto, Mexico

By Bob | March 13th, 2007

loreto.jpgFounded by Jesuit missionaries in 1697, Loreto was the first Spanish town on the Baja California Peninsula. With 10,000 residents, it is mainly a town centered around tourism these days. There is a reason why many visitors from the United States and elsewhere travel to Loreto. It is absolutely lovely.

Located on the Sea of Cortes and with the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range nearby, Loreto is an ideal setting for those looking to do some fishing, kayaking golfing, boating and good old fashioned lounging in the sun. Many people know Loreto because of the fishing. It is the place to go to catch mahi-mahi and dolphin fish, or so I have been told.

If you are a reality television buff you will remember that it was the setting for the season finale of “The Bachelor” back in 2005. If you aren’t a reality tv buff just picture a couple of grossly attractive people kissing on the beach with a perfect sunset in the background. Hey, that could be you too!

Alaska Airlines is offering up a fourth night free if you fly with them to Loreto, Mexico and stay at the very impressive Inn at Loreto Bay. If you stay for eight nights you’ll even get two nights free.
