The World’s Fastest Cruise Ship

By Bob | November 9th, 2006

The trend these days is to build cruise ships that are roughly the size of Singapore. In the cruise industry, bigger is better. But not everyone digs sharing a ship with the population of a small country. Some of us like to feel the wind whipping through our hair and the boat pounding through the chop of the sea. Some of us like speed.

There is no cruise ship out there faster than than Royal Olympia Cruises’ Olympia Voyager. With four engines each running at 13,000-horsepower, and experience cruising at 31 knots per hour (that’s about 35 mph), this baby is meant to get you from one port to another in a hurry. Not only is she fast (why are all ships called she?), but she also goes to some pretty cool destinations.
