Caribbean Cruise Round-Trip from Orlando

By Bob | January 24th, 2007

dolphins.jpgIf you want to earn brownie points for life from your children, tell them you are taking them to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. After the screaming subsides and the hugs come to an end, you’ll want to start looking around for ways that the whole family can enjoy a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.

One popular option for both kids and adults alike is to combine a trip to the Mouse Trap with a cruise. Orlando is about an hour away from Cape Canaveral, a popular departing port for many cruise lines. You can, of course, opt for a Disney-sponsored cruise, which means you’ll never be more than a minute away from a grown adult walking around in a mouse costume, but for my money there are better options out there that will bring even more joy to you and your family.

One cruise I especially like the looks of is the 7-night Royal Caribbean cruise aboard the Mariner of the Seas. The itinerary includes stops in the Bahamas, U.S. Virgin Islands and St. Marteen. A fun cruise with activities for the whole family, this is a great little week getaway combined with or separate from a trip to Disney.
