Corpus Christi Spring Break Hotels

I’ll admit that I have always been a bit weirded out by the name Corpus Christi. Why a place in southern Texas would actively choose to call itself the Body of Christ in Latin is beyond me, but I guess the Spanish settlers who helped to found the place that it was appropriate at the time.

I’ll also admit that I have been surprised by how many deals I have seen recently on flights to and hotels in Corpus Christi, Texas. I am sure that it is a lovely place with wonderful people but I’ve never thought of it as being a huge tourist mecca, especially for Spring Breakers.

It turns out that I am wrong. Wasn’t the first time and it won’t be the last time either. Corpus Christi is a hub of Spring Break fun, mainly because of its proximity to South Padre Island, a large barrier island off the coast that attracts hundreds of thousands of Spring Break revelers each and every year.

So the deal is that you can stay at a cheap hotel in Corpus Christi and then get your party on in Padre. You learn something new every day. Now if only I can figure out why my parents gave me my odd and unusual middle name
