Big Island, Hawaii – Vacation Packages

By Miss Julie | December 24th, 2006

Hawaii’s six main islands Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai and Hawaii are unparalleled in beauty, with volcanic mountains, swaying palms, wild orchids, exotic plants and spectacular black and white sand beaches. Inland, sugarcane plantations and pineapple fields stretch for miles.

Located 120 miles southeast of Oahu (40 minutes by air), Hawaii is the largest island of the archipelago. The birthplace of King Kamehameha, the best known ruler of the islands, it is also the location of the islands’ only active volcanoes. Molten lava still flows to the sea. More than 20,000 varieties of orchids are grown. The entire west coast of Hawaii is a diving and snorkeling heaven. With hula girls, volcanos and floral leis, these islands are the United States’ closest thing to an island paradise.

Why go to Hawaii?

  • Hawaii 5-0, hula dancers, Waikiki, Pearl Harbor – that’s just the beginning
  • Surf the ‘Banzai pipeline’
  • Visit the Polynesian cultural center in Laie
  • Just hang on tropical Pacific beaches, of course!
