Can I ski yet?
Unfortunately, no, the ski resorts aren’t open yet. But they will soon be. Depending on their location, some will open as early as November but if you plan your vacation for mid-January, the snow will surely be there! If you want to ski in France, prices start at ‚ 279 for 7 nights in a one bedroom apartment (can accommodate up to 3 or 4 people). You can save additional money by catering for yourself, as the apartment is equipped with a kitchenette.
Then there’s always Austria. Although known as a cheap ski destination, you should know that there are plenty of chalets and luxury accommodation available. If you prefer such a holiday in mid-January, expect to pay £575 per person for 7 nights in a chalet , including the round trip flight from London.
