Gatlinburg, Tennessee – Vacation Packages

By Miss Julie | December 24th, 2006

One visit and it’s easy to see why Gatlinburg has such an unconventionally good reputation as a meeting place. You get the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, plus the easy going charm of a genuine mountain town. And it’s all within just a day’s drive for over half the population of America. Lace up those hiking boots, pack that picnic basket or buy a brand new shiny set of Titleists. Whatever your pleasure, it’s time to get going in Gatlinburg!

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is home to dozens of scenic hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Check out a misty waterfall or conquer Mt. LeConte. The Smokies are known for their trout. Tie on your bait and see if you can reel in something worthy of a fish story. So maybe your idea of enjoying the mountains is a little more sedate. That’s okay, the roads that wind their way through the Smoky Mountains will take you by car into the heart of mountain majesty with stunning views and even an occasional bear sighting!
